Valheim dedicated servers separate regular world saves from automatic backup rotation.
Default settings
-saveinterval 1800: save every 30 minutes.-backups 4: retain four automatic backups.-backupshort 7200: two hours for the short backup.-backuplong 43200: twelve hours between subsequent backups.
Adjust the startup file
Change the desired values in a copy of your startup file; Steam updates reset the original. Time values use seconds.
A shorter save interval does not replace an independent backup. Keep an additional world copy outside the running server directory and check its progress before restoring it.
