Enshrouded is scheduled to leave Early Access on October 15, 2026. Its launch FAQ says PC owners can use their Early Access saves in version 1.0 without buying the game again. It also confirms that cross-platform play will be unavailable at launch.
According to the FAQ, existing saves will be converted to a new format. Starting fresh is a recommendation, not a requirement: the announcement says the world and the first few hours have changed, but it does not explain how every change will appear in an existing world.
Cross-Platform Play Has No Launch Date
The FAQ rules out cross-platform play at launch and gives no estimate for when it might arrive. If you plan to play with friends on another platform, the October 15 release does not change that limitation.
How the Early Access Rewards Work
Early Access players are promised three decorative props for their bases. The FAQ says eligible players can claim them through “Redeem Add-Ons” in the escape menu.
A player who buys Enshrouded after Early Access can have an eligible player place a prop in their world. The FAQ says the later buyer can remove that prop, but cannot place it themselves.
